COMRADES ..YOU HAVE ARRIVED AT BUILDING CONSTRUCTION

CONSTRUCTING BUILDINGS

Many people have asked how I build my basic buildings....To start with there are many outstanding companies that sell great looking structures ($$)  I came up with this very low cost approach to constructing buildings. It's very easy and very inexpensive and in a small amount of time you can have an entire city built

Step 1

To start with I buy a sheet of Styrene..I like the 1/8th squares (tile) Most hobby stores have these in stock

Step 2

Now trace out the buildings you want to make...This one will be a small shop with a work bay

Step 3

Now cut out the windows and doors..I find a razor with a thick blade works best..(like the one shown)

Step 4

Now cut out the walls..I found it easier to work with the large sheets cutting out windows and doors first..rather than the other way  around

Step 5

Now simply glue the walls together

Step 6

Now glue on a roof..a good pair of scissors works best...Just get it close in size. Glue it on and then trim  it up with the scissors

(For the roof.. I used a plain piece of styrene)

Step 7

Now you can sand the edges if you want and paint it..I normally use a flat aerosol color (I'm lazy)
